New Year, Old Thoughts.
So last year I had a lot of thoughts rolling around my head about what I have been wanting to do. Lots of people have been saying that you shouldn't wait for January first to roll around to give you the opportunity to make new resolutions, or plan new adventures. I don't either, but honestly I just don't really think of those things on a day to day basis.
Sure, every now and then I think I should start doing this, or I should stop doing that. But I rarely start doing it. When the new year comes around it gives me an opportunity to get off my tush and really do it.
A few days ago I could not sleep. Like seriously was not tired. Have you ever heard someone say they got a burst of energy? I got a burst of insomnia. I was up that night until 6 AM, I have only stayed up that long twice in my life and those were both at sleepovers, where I talked with my friends. This time I was all alone with nothing to do. I actually made a list of the things I did while I waited to be tired.
First, I imagined my life 10 years from now, because honestly who doesn't?
Then I brushed my teeth, because I had forgotten to do that earlier.
Next I watched Youtube, because everyone knows that is a good way to kill time.
After a while of that I counted to 200, and thought about a book I'd read, and wondered when I would be old enough to get a job and where I would work.
Then I thought about moving furniture in my room and where my stuff would go, and measured if it would fit.
And lastly I took my Japanese, hand held fan and fanned myself as I stared at the wall for 5 minutes.
That is when I actually did something somewhat interesting. I created a long list of everything I want to do or get started on in the next two years. I have decided to share that with you :)
